Soundtracks

Why do some people think soundtracks are boring to listen to? please tell me! The best music on earth is contained in those 10 to 12 track long ( unless, of course, you get the extended or full versions(talk about nerdliness!) Why does my CPU say that's not a word?) A soundtrack is a wordless mastery of instrumental harmony and melody most pleasing to the hearing. We live in a great age for soundtracks, the movie industry has been going on for some time now, nearly a century, but only more recently has the movie music become an art. It's like classical music for a new era.
Anyway, here are the best soundtracks of all time. This may be my opinion on these, but I believe I am entitled to one,(don't mind if I say so myself!) I have listened to a very large sampling of soundtracks.
The big number one is a blend of classical music and folk like oriented old world pump. The most beautiful soundtrack I have ever listened to is Master and Commander.

The second most amazing soundtrack I have ever listened to is Pirates of the Carribbean. Actually, I put all four in the same category because I don't think they should be separated.

number three is hard. I have so many favorites I hardly know what to put on this slot...
How about Star Trek?

This soundtrack is better than the movie. Michael Giacchino heavily uses the brass and string instruments in a lot of what he composes. Very epic.

number four...

Lord of the Rings. no matter how cool the movie is, it just wouldn't be LOTR without the masterpiece done by Howard Shore ( I'm listening to the Rohan theme right now, speaking of which.)

numero cinco...
I've got to put in a good word for Sherlock Holmes. It may not be the very best, but there is something strangely addictingly weird about it. I won't lie to you, it's kind of weird.

number six...
let's see, Narnia? no. Iron Man? well...no. National Treasure?
If you want to listen to something epic, something you want to get moving to, this is the way to go.

 number seven...
I will bet that a lot of you have not listened to this 'track yet. Yet.
The Thin Red line is to say the least, strange. the soundtrack matches it well. eerie music with a tinge of exotic makes it worthwhile. I go to sleep well with this stuff on.
number eight...
Ok, I'll cave.
Star Wars is pretty epic, I guess. THAT IS, THE MUSIC! Not the movies!!*
I refuse to put a picture up. I am not apologizing.

number nine...
Inception is a really cool soundtrack. A little tinge of sadness, and perhaps a little abstract go hand in hand.
Last one...
Gods and Generals is a very pretty soundtrack. Infused with country grace and a little throb, its really something to listen to.
I'm all done I guess. Of course, I listen to a whole lot more than this. it's more of a sampling here.
Just as a little add on, there is nothing like the classic spy music theme song from Mission: Impossible.

* For those of you that don't know, I really hate Star Wars. I think Star Trek is better.
P.S. Did you know that Has Zimmer has the same Birthday as me?
That was random.

Til bunny and tennis

Last week, a tragedy happened.
An infant rabbit, 17 days old to be exact, was killed
What? a baby rabbit? I mean who cares? I'll bet 100s of 'em die every week. Why is this important?
Well, this rabbit was a German pop star/celebrity. This wee chaps name was Til, and he was born without ears.
He had a birth defect quite rare for rabbits, as you can imagine, and was quickly rising to become a German celebrity. He was being photographed and the owner put the little fellow down and he hopped under some hay...
And the camera man took a step backwards...
And...well...*crunch*.
When asked by the press wether or not he suffered, the earless buns vet said: "It was a direct hit".
I personally feel bad for the camera man, this guy is now Germanys most hated Rabbit assassin.
It was entirely an accident, of course.
I have no idea where I was going with that. I just thought it was interesting.

Today while I was at tennis practice, the funniest thing I have ever done happened to me. I was playing doubles and we had a great rally going. when I hit the fatal lob up in the air, at a perfect height for a perfect lob for my opponent. She smashed the ball and I fleeing for my life jerked out of the way. holding my racqet(however you spell that) out to protect myself. the ball landed squarley on my racqet and I accidentaly hit a perfect shot into the court. It was so beautiful I could have cried, if I hadn't been laughing so hard. my hand was buzzing for a while after that, though, cause of the hardness of the shot. It was one of those things you had to have been there to see to be really funny, I guess. Moral of the story: don't hit such low lobs.
